Lady Wildcats Fall to Milton, 6-1
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It was another tough night on the pitch for the Lady Wildcat soccer team as they fell to a scrappy Milton team on the home turf of Malinak Stadium, 6-1.
Milton struck early with a crossing pass in front of the goal to go up 1-0 just 3:17 into the game, Then the Lady Panterhs slowly built a 4-0 advantage before Central Mountain responded with a goal of their own coming off the toe of Abby Brinker on a penalty kick with 12:22 remaining in the first period.
Milton tacked on another score before the break for a 5-0 lead but only scored one more goal in the final 40 minutes.
The Lady Panther also held the edge in shots on goal 10-6. Amelia McCloy had 2 shots on goal for the Lady ‘Cats while MacKenzie Walsh, Avery Baker, Aubrielle Pinero and Jocelyn Renninger all had one shot each.
It was another busy work day for CM keeper, Hailey Swortwood who denied Milton 10 times in the game.
Central Mountain will next hit the road on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 for a game at Shikellamy.
