Lady Wildcat Soccer Falls to Montoursville, 3-0

MONTOURSVILLE – The Central Mountain girls’ soccer team was a victim of a 3-0 road loss to the Lady Warriors on Wednesday evening.

Montoursville jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, then tacked on their final goal in the second stanza.

The Lady Warriors outpaced CM with 17 shots on goal to only 2 for the Lady ‘Cats, both by Baily Brungard.

Central Mountain keeper Hailey Swortwood earned 13 saves on the night.

Though, disappointed with the outcome, CM head coach, Jeff Brinker was pleased with his team’s effort.

“The really played hard the entire game,” Brinker said of his squad, “Really pleased with their efforts.”

The loss takes Central Mountain to 1-8 for 2019 and will next play on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 for a 10 a.m. contest.
