Wildcats Hand 2-0 Loss to Shik
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain boy’s soccer team picked up another PHAC win Saturday evening over visiting Shikellamy with a 2-0 shutout effort.
Trey Gentzel earned the first score for the Wildcats with 53 seconds remaining in the first period off an assist by Nate Brinker. Alec Leuthold found the back of the net on a shot just 4:16 into the second period with the assist coming from Gentzel.
Jeremiah Thomas and Chase Young led the ‘Cats with 5 shots on goals each in the game while the Wildcats had 27 shots on goal overall on the night. CM also led in corner kicks 9-1.
Greg Walizer recorded 5 saves for Central Mountain.
The win takes Central Mountain to 2-3 overall, 2-1 in conference play.
The Wildcats will next travel to Mifflinburg on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019.
