Milton Edges Wildcats, 3-2
MILTON – Central Mountain boys’ tennis was on the road Monday to face the Black Panthers on the court and came home with a 3-2 loss.
Milton’s Eric Counsil defeated CM’s Morgan Talbot, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles while Gavyn Walker turned the tide with a 6-4, 6-1 win over the Panther’s Josh Kern at No. 2 singles. At No. 3 singles, the Wildcat’s Ujjval Adroja took down Milton’s Anthony Ayala, 6-4, 7-5.
In No, 1 doubles action it was the Milton duo of Zack Burkhart and Eli Yoder edged the ‘Cats’ Brady Williams and Jackson Walker, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. Then Milton capped of the day when Jared Gagnon and Camden Scoggins dispatched Ethan Hall and Leisher Gugino, 6-0, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles.
