Hollidaysburg Rolls up 5-0 Win over the Wildcats

tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – District 6 tennis powerhouse, Hollidaysburg came to town and handed the Wildcats a 5-0 shutout loss.

The Golden Tigers’ Nathan Ferris defeated CM’s Gavyn Walker, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 Singles. At No. 2 singles it was Brian Johnson earning a 6-2. 6-0 win for Hollidaysburg over Wildcat, Ujjval Adroja. Hollidaysburg’s Ryan Stevenson received a forfeit at No. 3 singles.

In doubles action it was Anthony Martinelli and Jake Irwin picking up a 6-0, 6-2 win for Hollidaysburg at No. 1 doubles over Central Mountain’s Brady Williams and Ethan Hall. Jacob Gallagher and Aragorn Clarke closed out the sweep for the Golden Tigers with a 6-1, 6-2 win over the ‘Cat duo of Jackson Walker and Leisher Gugino.

The Wildcats move to 1-3 on the season and will next see action when they travel to Milton on Monday, April 1, 2019.
