‘Cats fall to ‘Shore, 4-1

tennisBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Wildcats faced rival Jersey Shore on the Central Mountain courts to celebrate the first day of spring with the Bulldogs going home with a 4-1 victory.

CM’s Gavin Walker used a tie-breaker to get past Jersey Shore’s Alex Trunzo, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No. 1 singles for the Wildcat’s only win of the day.

The Bulldog’s Luke Maneval defeated Ujjvall Adroja, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and ‘Shore’s Michael Walker was a winner by Forfeit at No. 3 singles.

Devin Hillyard and Robert Smith of Jersey Shore used a third set to edge CM’s Brady Williams and Ethan Hall 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles while in No. 2 doubles action, Eric Bell and Owen Knepp earned the ‘Dawgs final win of the day with a 6-2, 6-3 effort over the Wildcat duo of Leisher Gugino and Jackson Walker.

Central Mountain will next take road trip to Lewisburg on Friday, March 22, 2019.
