Northern Potter Uses Late Surge to Edge Bucktail, 35-33
FARWELL – Northern Potter came to town and took away a 35-33 win over the Lady Bucks with a late game surge.
Bucktail held a slim 16-12 lead at the half and maintained that effort for a 25-20 advantage after three quarters of play. Then in the fourth quarter, Bucktail sent the Lady Panthers to the penalty stripe 10 times with Northern Potter converting 11-of-20 free throws, to surge past the Lady Bucks, 15-8 in the final 8 minutes for the win.
Myka Poorman led Bucktail with 11 points followed by Tessa Cowfer and Emily Cross with 9 points each. Julie Green contributed 4 points of the the Lady Bucks.
The loss takes Bucktail to 1-5 on the season. The Lady Bucks will be back in action on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018 when they will travel to Austin.
