Buck’s Early Lead Rolls over Meadowbrook, 57-40

FARWELL – The Bucks jumped out to an early lead over visiting Meadowbrook Christian school and never looked back to garner their second consecutive win of the season.

Bucktail put up 27 points in the first quarter fueled by an 11 point effort from Gabriel Conway. Meadowbrook Christian could only muster 9 points in the first quarter. Meadowbrook would turn the tables slightly in the second quarter, outpacing the Bucks 15-8, still trailing the hosts, 35-24.

The Bucks doubled up on Meadowbrook 16-8 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 51-32. Meadowbrook Christian matched their 8-point third quarter effort in the last period with the Bucks tacking on 6 more points for the final 57-40 win.

Conway ended up with 24 points on the night followed by Gavin Becker with 13, Devin Serafini with 10. Alex Intallura scored 6 points with Ty Snyder and Richard Perry scoring 2 points each for Bucktail.

The Bucks have off until Friday, Dec. 28 when they will travel to Austin.

The loss balances the scales for Bucktail at 2-2 on the season.
