Moyer, Lindsey Among LHU Student-Athletes Receiving Academic Honors
A total of 58 LHU student-athletes have been honored for their academic success
CLEVELAND – A total of 58 Lock Haven University student-athletes recently earned 2017-18 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Awards.
The 58 student-athletes from LHU helped push the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) total to 931 award winners. Among these scholar athletes are Central Mountain’s very own, Laurel Moyer (Women’s Track & Field) and Moriah Lindsey (Softball).
The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the NCAA Division II level and in order to be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during their last academic year.
“As always, I’m happy to see our student-athletes receive this prestigious honor” said Dr. Tom Gioglio, LHU Director of Athletics. “It gives me great pride to celebrate their ongoing commitment to excel in the classroom.”
