LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County community will honor Penn State football player and local product Von Walker at an appreciation luncheon to be held Wednesday, May 18.

The Clinton County Economic Partnership is organizing the luncheon that will be held beginning at noon at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center on the campus of Lock Haven University.

Walker is entering his senior season on the PSU campus. He began as a “run-on” for the team and has played running back and linebacker in his career and has been a special teams standout. He has been a captain of the team, and is part of the Leadership Council. Prior to going to Penn State, Walker was a standout athlete at Central Mountain High School.

“We are pleased to honor someone of Von Walker’s playing ability and character,” said Mike Flanagan of the Partnership. “He has worked hard to get where he is at, and has also brought recognition to our community. This luncheon will serve as a small way of saying thanks.”

The luncheon is open to the public, but registrations are required since seating is limited. Cost for the lunch is $15. You may register by contacting April Henry at 570-748-5782 or coordinator@clintoncountyinfo.com

Luncheon sponsors are Davis Insurance, First Quality, the Central PA Auto Auction, and Miller Brothers Auto Sales.
