FARWELL – For the second straight year the Renovo Elementary School has been deemed a “Rewards School,” a special state designation for schools with improved performance in a number of areas. Keystone Central School District superintendent Kelly Hastings made the announcement at last week’s board meeting and Renovo Elementary principal Betsy Dickey, left, and Title 1 reading teacher Lindsey Rogers, right, were presented the award keystone. A grant from the state Department of Education is part of the recognition and the Renovo school will again partner with an underperforming school elsewhere in the Central Intermediate Unit area to assist that school in improving the performance of its students.
