PIAA AAA State Championships (Live Updates)
Friday Sessions
HERSHEY – We will be updating live results for the three Wildcat wrestlers, and all 24 District 4 and 6 wrestlers participating in the PIAA AAA State Championships at the Giant Center.
The Preliminary Round is slated to begin at 4 p.m. followed by the Championship First Round and Consolation First Round.
Central Mountain will be represented by Geo Barzona (106), Colton Weaver (138) and Hunter Weaver (220).
Mifflin County has the largest contingent from the area with 6 wrestlers, Noah Myers (120), Hayden Hidaly (152), Trent Hidlay (160), Noah Stewart (170), Brandon Wilson (182) and Trey Hartsock (195).
Representing BEA will be Seth Koleno (132) and Josh Fye (285). Hollidaysburg will have Dalton Long (138) and Hunter Gill (285). State College has Adam Stover (113), Bellefonte with Brock Port (145) and Chase Gardner (152). Cole Manley (126) and Brinton Simington (182) will represent Altoona. Philipsburg-Osceola is sending Bryce Bennett (126) and Dakota Weitoish (145).
From District 4, Jersey Shore will have Hunter Zondory (120) and Hadyn Swartwood (160). Nick Gittens (126) of Shikellamy, and Selinsgove’s Drew Boob (220) round out the field.
Most of the local group will receive a bye in the preliminary “pig tail” round. We will also add photos of area wrestlers as they are received.
