psp-logoMILL HALL —State Police have arrested a former Central Mountain Middle School security officer and charged him with the theft of better than $7,000 from the school’s Stand Tall club.

Theft charges were filed Monday against Chad Felmlee, 38, of Beech Creek. According to the report from state police trooper Curtis Confer, the arrest followed a theft investigation. His report said the alleged theft occurred between December of 2013 and January of 2015, “during the time period the defendant was an employee of the Keystone Central School District and the head of the Central Mountain Middle School Stand Tall Club.”

The state police news release alleges Felmlee used his position as Stand Tall advisor “for his personal gain from June of 2013 through December 2014 for a total of $7,060.27.” He is accused of making withdrawls from the club account without the consent of the club’s board members. Charges were filed before District Judge John Maggs.

Felmlee had been a district security officer until Jan. 9, 2015, at which time he resigned. The criminal complaint lists a series of alleged withdrawals, both by cash and credit card at a number of central Pennsylvania stores ranging from Sam’s Club to local convenience stores.
