Lady ‘Cats Fall to Altoona 54-34
ALTOONA – The going was tough against one of the top girls’ basketball programs in District 6 as Central Mountain fell 54-34 to Altoona.
The Mountain Lions scored 50 of their 54 points in the first half while the Lady Wildcats only broke double digits for a single quarter in the fourth period.
Altoona led at the half 40-15 and added 10 more to their total in the third quarter for a 50-24 lead.
Though Central Mountain was outgunned, the offense was a team effort with nine players contributing points.
Grayson McLoy led the way with 9 points followed by Lydia McCaleb, Sadie McCaleb and Lauren Hoy each netting 4 points. Alexis Anastos, Averie Pringle and Elaina Eckley all scored 3 points each while Julia Novosat and Emily Strouse each contributed two points on the night.
Next up for the Lady ‘Cats is a home contest Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 with Mifflinburg with will be highlighted with senior night festivities.
