Larry Richard Motter, 70, of Lock Haven passed away with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Larry was a 1962 graduate of Lock Haven High School. He then joined the Navy, receiving training as an Instrument Technician.

He was married to the former Jane Marie Bottorf in 1964, and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Larry worked as an Instrument Technician at Hammermill Paper Company/IP Plant for many years until its closure. He then was employed by First Quality, Lock Haven until his retirement.

He loved to fish and was an active member of the Hunter’s Run Bass Masters.

Larry, “Pop Pop,” loved going to his grandchildren’s various sporting events. He could always be found along the ball field fence watching his grandsons and granddaughters play baseball and softball.

Surviving is Larry’s wife, Jane; his sons, Corey and Lance (Vicki) Motter; his daughter, Cathy (Chris) Marasco; his grandchildren: Kyle and Cameron Motter and Morgan, Loren, Matthew, and Lane Marasco; his sisters, Linda (Bob) Grieco and Sandy (Lew) Summers; and his brother, Dave (Midge) Motter.

In addition to his parents, Harold and Pearl Motter, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Sonny Motter and his sister, Shirley McSherry.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Luke’s United Church of Christ or the Cancer Center of Divine Providence Hospital through the funeral home.
