Obituary-Alieta J. Tarantella, 73
Alieta J. Tarantella, 73, of Renovo, Pa, passed away on January 4, 2026 at the Williamsport Hospital.
She was born in Renovo, Pa to parents Clarance Tarr and Alieta Conser on December 29, 1952. She obtained a GED and went on to Frederick Community College to study and obtain a degree in Nursing. She worked as an LPN for over 35 years in different nursing facilities all across Montgomery and Frederick County, Maryland.
Alieta loved family get togethers, jokes, and spending time with family and friends. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing on the Potomac River, girl trips with her family, and attending the Flaming Foliage Festival in Renovo, Pa.
She is survived by her husband James K. Tarantella of Renovo; her son James B. (Rebecca) Tarantella of Frederick Maryland; two brothers, Leon (Joan) Tarr and Kenneth (Margaret) Tarr, both of Renovo. She is also survived by her sisters Anita Tarr of Renovo and Ann Blair of Germantown Maryland, along with two grandsons, Cory J. Tarantella and Wyatt A. Tarantella of Maryland. Alieta was predeceased by her three sisters, Audrey Hess, Leona Kormanec, and Winifred Basalla along with a brother, Clarence Tarr.
A Graveside Memorial service will be held at the Northbend Cemetery, 207 Main St, North Bend, Pa 17760 on Saturday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gedon Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa 17751.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Alieta’s name may be made to Bucktail Medical Center, 1001 Pine St. Renovo Pa. 17764.
