LHU Men’s Basketball drops PSAC opener vs. Edinboro
LOCK HAVEN– The Lock Haven men’s basketball team opened its 2025-26 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schedule by hosting Edinboro in Thomas Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 6) and the visiting Fighting Scots came away with a 74-61 victory.
The Haven is now 4-3 on the season and 0-1 in PSAC action, while the Fighting Scots are now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
Leading The Haven in scoring was Luke Kennevan, who finished with 18 points and five boards.
Blake Deegan secured his third double-double of the season, scoring 11 points and snagging 13 rebounds, including six on the offensive end. Deegan also rejected two shots.
Dyllon Scott contributed eight points and secured seven rebounds.
Edinboro knocked down a game high 30 field goals on 50 percent shooting, while holding Lock Haven to 30 percent (21-71) from the field and 18 percent (4-22) from behind the arch.
The Fighting Scots built a 34-26 at halftime, with Kennevan leading The Haven with 10 first half points.
After leading 34-26 coming out of the break, Edinboro extended its lead to 15 after the opening five minutes of the second half.
However, a Mike Knouse 3-pointer capped off a 12-2 Lock Haven run to cut the Bald Eagles’ deficit to 49-44 with 12 minutes remaining.
However, the Fighting Scots countered with an 11-2 run of their own over the ensuing six minutes to build their lead back to 14, before closing out the 74-61 victory.
Rowan Carmichael led Edinboro with a game-high 20 points.
