Bucktail tennis rolls over NPL on the road, 5-0

LIBERTY- Bucktail tennis squared off with their second NTL opponent in as many matches on Thursday afternoon and the match against NP-Liberty finished just like their season opening win in Farwell over Cowanesque Valley.
The Lady Bucks once again swept all five contests to cruise to a 5-0 win and improve to 2-0 on the season.
Eva Sockman fought off a tough NPL’s Annie Johns 6-4, 6-3 from the Bucktail number one position. At number two, it was Bucktail senior Kendall Wagner downing Elyna Booth 6-1, 6-3.
Lola English wrapped up the Lady Bucks’ sweep in singles by defeating the Lady Mounties Roslyn Williams 6-2, 6-4.
In doubles Bucktail continued their dominance with McKenna Bissman and Carrie Ditty cruising past NPL’s Elena Hazelton and Marisa Bradford 6-1, 6-3.
Kelsie Wagner and Riley Salizzoni continued the hot streak for Bucktail when they defeated Caroline Cummings and Hailey Hess 6-0, 6-1.
Bucktail freshman duo of Kaitlin Paloskey and Olivia Henderson made their tennis debut for the Lady Bucks in exhibition play, but fell short 7-5.
The Lady Bucks will continue their NTL nonconference slate on Tuesday with a home match against Wellsboro before opening their Mid Penn Conference 2025 schedule the following afternoon in Farwell against Montgomery. Bucktail will then travel to Wellsboro on Thursday.
