Obituary – Stephen Thomas “Tom” Allen
Stephen Thomas “Tom” Allen, 75, of Mill Hall, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.
Born November 17, 1949 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Donald “Crate” and Violet L. Gunsallus Allen.
Following graduation from Lock Haven High School, Tom was drafted into the U.S. Army, honorably serving until his medical discharge.
After returning from service, Tom was employed at the Scat Gas Station of Mill Hall before his brief tenor with Haven Homes. He then went to work for his father’s business, Donald Allen Trucking, where he drove truck for many years until his father’s retirement. Tom finished his working career with Centre Concrete until his retirement.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Blanchard, Lock Haven American Legion and Castanea Fire Hall Social Club.
Tom was a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and always enjoyed and was honored to participate in local fundraising rides.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Laubscher of Avis; two nieces, Stacey J. Weaver and Kassy D. (Dan) Hardy of Howard; a great nephew, Trevor D. (Savannah) Reed of Howard; a great-niece, Lily Donn McGarvey of Howard; and a great-great nephew, Cade David Reed of Howard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Allen.
A time of viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745.
Private burial will take place at Blanchard Baptist Cemetery.
