Chicken BBQ Fundraiser Serves Up Success for Local Cause
MILL HALL – On Saturday, July 19, Tri-County Church partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall to host a Chicken BBQ Fundraiser at Mill Hall Community Park. The community showed its support in a big way, with more than 477 chicken dinners sold and a total of $3,172 raised. From that amount, $2,000 was donated directly to the Pregnancy Resource Clinic (PRC).
Now in its sixth year, the fundraiser has become a summer tradition, bringing together Kiwanis members, Tri-County volunteers, and PRC supporters for an early morning of hard work and fellowship. Organizers said the event was not only successful financially but also rewarding in seeing so many friendly faces from the community come out to support the cause.
Pregnancy Resource Clinic, which recently celebrated its grand opening in April 2025 in downtown Lock Haven, expressed gratitude for the ongoing community support. The clinic is currently open Monday through Friday and offers free services related to pregnancy—including pregnancy tests, proof of pregnancy, and options education—along with parenting education and material assistance for both mothers and fathers. Looking ahead, PRC plans to expand services to include ultrasounds as well as STD testing and treatment.
