Obituary – Dorothy A. Reeder
Dorothy A. Reeder, 90, of Mill Hall, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living.
Born October 8, 1934 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Calvin E. and Virginia A. Egan Dershem.
On November 29, 1953 in Mill Hall, she married John Robert “Bob” Reeder, who preceded her in death July 21, 2019.
Dorothy devoted her early life to her family, proudly raising her five daughters. She later worked as a Health Aid for the Clinton County Office of Aging until her retirement.
She was a member of the Salona United Church of Christ.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, reading and her flower gardens. Her biggest joy was her family, especially her daughters and beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her five daughters, Deborah (Terry) Dickey of Beech Creek, Deah (David) Bowes of Blanchard, Christine (Bob) Thompson of Blanchard, Theresa (Mike) Kramer of Loganton and Jennifer (Milton) Schwab of Virginia; a brother, James (Nancy) Dershem of Farrandsville; a sister, Marian McKean of Jersey Shore; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-four great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer E. and Calvin Dershem; two sisters, Joyce Bressler and Ruth Walk; and a great-grandson, Rory Schaefer.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Cindy Killinger officiating. Graveside service will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.
