Keystone Advances to Sectional Championship with 1-0 Win

ATHENS – The Keystone 10-12 Majors picked up another impressive win Sunday night under the lights, edging out their opponent 1-0 to secure a spot in the sectional championship game.

Giovanni Cej delivered a dominant performance on the mound, tossing a complete-game shutout while striking out 12, walking just one, and allowing only one hit.

Keystone scored the game’s lone run in the fourth inning and scattered eight hits throughout the contest. Offensive contributions came from Dylan McDermott, Giovanni Cej, Adam Meyer, Jaxon Orndorf, Ryker Packech, Karter Markle, Jordan Germello, and Riley Allen.

With the victory, Keystone advances to the sectional title game on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., where they will face the winner of Monday’s matchup between Selinsgrove and Tri-Valley.
