Another Shutout for the Lady Wildcats
Hilty, Reeder go Yard for CM
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Lady Wildcats continued their winning ways with a decisive 14-0 win over Danville. Central Mountain used the opportunity to take the next step to claim at least share in the Heartland Athletic Conference Division 1 Championship and to bolster their stats in time for the seeding for District 6 post season consideration.
The Lady Wildcats resumed their offensive momentum collecting their second consecutive shutout in two days. Recording 15 hits in another five-inning outing. Freshman Josie Dershem led the charge with a 4 for 4 effort at the plate. She showed the depth of her talent as she had a bunt single and stolen base in the first inning. Dershem added another single, a double, and triple to complete her 4-hit day. On top of that, she also picked up the win in the circle.
Jess Strouse, Bree Hilty, and Mariah Major all went 2 for 3 on the day. Hilty crushed a 3-run home run on her way to a 4 RBI day and Strouse had a pair of RBIs. Sarah Reeder also homered.
Next up for the Lady Wildcats is a home contest with Williamsport, tomorrow, Thursday, May 13, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
