BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Last week, German exchange students from Buchen, Germany, visited Central Mountain High School (CMHS), creating an unforgettable cultural exchange experience for both the visitors and their hosts. The students arrived on Wednesday, October 16, and were warmly welcomed by their host families, kicking off their stay with a series of fun activities.
The next day, students spent time at Riverview Park, where they bonded with their hosts and enjoyed a picnic lunch generously provided by the KCSD Culinary department. They continued with a classic high school experience: attending the Friday night football game, where they joined the local community in cheering on the CMHS team.
The adventure didn’t stop there. On Monday, October 21, they traveled to Penns Cave and RB Winter Park, where they explored some of Pennsylvania’s beautiful natural scenery. A midweek outing took the group to Pegula Ice Arena for ice skating, followed by a sweet treat at the famous Berkey Creamery.
The exchange students’ last field trip on Friday, October 25, was a tour of the Pennsylvania Capitol building in Harrisburg, allowing them to learn more about the state’s history and government. After a busy week, the students departed from CMHS on Sunday, October 27, at 9 a.m., leaving with new friendships, good memories, and a deeper understanding of American life.
