LHU Women’s Soccer falls late at Millersville
MILLERSVILLE– The Lock Haven women’s soccer team scored in the second half to tie the game on the road, but Millersville netted the game-winner in the 81st minute to steal a 2-1 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division victory on Wednesday night (Oct. 9).
With the score deadlocked at 1-1 coming out of the break, Lock Haven netted the equalizer in the opening minute of the second half when Bryn Constanzer beat the keeper right off an assist from Evelyn Ciaccia.
The score marked the first goal in the career of Constanzer and the second assist of the season for Ciaccia.
However, Millersville broke through for what served as the game-winning goal in the 81st minute to steal the conference victory.
In net, Lock Haven keeper Megan Miller made six saves in 90 minutes of action.
Constanzer recorded the lone shot on goal for the Bald Eagles on her goal in the second half.
The Bald Eagles move to 1-6-3 overall and 1-6-1 in the PSAC, while Millersville improves to 5-3-1 overall and 4-3-1 in conference play.
