Lady Wildcat Soccer Falls to Undefeated Milton, 9-0
MILTON-The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats traveled to face the unbeaten Milton Lady Black Panthers in a challenging cross-division match on Saturday. Despite their best efforts, the Lady Wildcats were overpowered by a dominant Milton side, falling 9-0.
Milton, led by standout junior and Boston College commit Sammy Roarty, showcased their offensive firepower early, racing to a 5-0 lead by halftime. Roarty was the driving force behind Milton’s attack, making key plays to help her team remain undefeated. The Lady Black Panthers added four more goals in the second half, securing a decisive win.
Despite the scoreline, the Lady Wildcats showed resilience and grit. Much of the game was fought in the midfield, where Central Mountain held their own and forced Milton to work for every opportunity. The Wildcats did manage to create chances in the attacking third but couldn’t find the back of the net, with Milton’s goalkeeper stepping up to make a few key saves to preserve the shutout.
Up next for Central Mountain is a home match on Tuesday, where they’ll celebrate senior night against Shamokin. The Lady Wildcats will look to build on the positives from this game as they aim to finish the season strong. Come out and support the blue and white as they honor their seniors and take the field.
