Central Mountain Boys Soccer Battles to a Scoreless Draw Against Shikellamy
SUNBURY-The Central Mountain boys soccer team traveled to Shikellamy on Wednesday for an important PHAC conference matchup, aiming to boost their district playoff standing. Despite their efforts, neither team could find the back of the net, resulting in a hard-fought 0-0 draw after 100 minutes of play.
Both sides struggled with the field conditions, which led to missed scoring opportunities. Eight different Wildcats managed shots on goal, but slippery footing made it difficult to capitalize on their chances.
Defensively, the Wildcats continued to shine, limiting Shikellamy’s chances in front of the goal. Central Mountain’s goalkeeper, Jaggar Pardoe, played a key role in preserving the clean sheet, making five crucial saves.
With a record of 6-6-2, the Wildcats will be back in action at home on Friday, facing Hazleton. Varsity will kick off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the JV game at 6:00 p.m.
