“Dripped on the Road” Artists To Create Mural Masterpieces in Lock Haven Beginning October 1
By Emily Wright
LOCK HAVEN— In the coming weeks, the City of Lock Haven will come alive with new artistic additions as a cohort of talented artists from the “Dripped on the Road” (DOTR) program grace downtown with four unique murals. Supported by funding from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Clinton County Visitors Bureau and Tourism Agency, and the City of Lock Haven, this vibrant initiative aims to enrich the community’s cultural landscape.
Starting Tuesday, October 1, five artists from Dripped on the Road will begin their creative journey in Lock Haven, with the final murals set for completion on Tuesday, October 15. During this two-week period, artists will connect with the community through various engaging events aimed at celebrating and fostering public art.
DOTR, a traveling artist residency program led by directors Denton Burrows and Jonathan Neville, is renowned for fostering unique creative environments for artists while enhancing the visual atmosphere of communities through public art. The eighth installment of their “On the Road” program features three prominent artists from across the United States: Humble, Zach Curtis, and Danielle Mastrion.
The artists will be bringing their extraordinary talents to four prominent locations in Lock Haven:
– Haven Wash Station, 377 E. Main Street
– M&J Supply, 309 E. Main Street
– Roxy Theatre, 308 E. Main Street
– Annie Halenbake Ross Library, 232 W. Main Street
The designs for these murals are being kept under wraps until the grand finale – a mural tour set to take place on Tuesday, October 15.

The City would also like to give a special thanks to Action Equipment, Inc. for donating equipment to help the artists achieve their creative visions for the murals at new heights.
This mural initiative aligns with Lock Haven’s broader vision of creating an Active Arts Corridor, thanks to a generous grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. The project aims not only to beautify the city but also to catalyze placemaking and further public art initiatives in the coming years.
