Keystone Central and LHU Celebrate Community Spirit with Joint Homecoming Parade

LOCK HAVEN-The streets of Lock Haven were alive with excitement on Thursday night as Keystone Central School District and Commonwealth University Lock Haven Campus teamed up to host their joint Homecoming Parade. Themed “Through the Decades,” the parade brought vibrant floats, performances, and community spirit to the heart of the town.

Topping the float competition was Woodward Elementary, whose creative display earned them first place. Robb Elementary came in second and Renovo Elementary came in third, Mill Hall Elementary, and Liberty-Curtin Elementary tied for fourth place. Each school embraced the theme with unique designs that captured the evolution of the decades, much to the delight of the spectators.

The parade route weaved through Lock Haven, where families, students, and alumni lined the streets to show their support. The event culminated at Lock Haven University with a lively pep rally, bringing together students for a night of fun.

Albert Jones, Lock Haven University’s Interim Director of Athletics, and Central Mountain High School Athletic Director Dave Peters took center stage as co-MCs for the parade and rally. Their energy kept the crowd engaged, celebrating both the past and present achievements of the community and its schools.

With cheers echoing throughout the town and school spirit at an all-time high, the Homecoming Parade was a success, setting the stage for a memorable weekend of homecoming events for both the school district and the university.
