LOCK HAVEN— UPMC Haven Place invites the community to its ninth annual Fall Craft Extravaganza on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The much-anticipated event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Haven Place, located at 24 Cree Drive in Lock Haven, the site formerly known as the Extended Care Unit or Haven Skilled Rehab and Nursing.

The Haven Place UPMC Susquehanna Lock Haven Pep Squad organizes the annual Fall Craft Extravaganza to raise funds to support residents and staff. “The money we raise goes towards our residents and staff and provides the things we need to coordinate and host fun activities for both staff and residents,” said Tara Bardo, a coordinator for the event.

With over 35 vendors already registered for the event, attendees can look forward to a diverse array of handcrafted goods. A few vendors that attendees can expect to see include Kay’s Krafts by Kay Lamey, Tastefully Simple from Tracy Shady, PaperPie Children’s Books from brand partner Katie Plessinger, Unique Finds by Jessica Frank, Scentsy from Amanda Force, jelly, hard candy, and baked goods from Lori Martin, pottery made by Katherine Lehman, Blessing Bead Bracelets by Beverly Pringle, and much more.

Bardo shared that a few outdoor spots are still available for anyone interested in showcasing their crafts. To register for the event, vendors are asked to contact Tara at 570-367-9260 via call or text message for further details.

Adding to the event’s charm, food will be available thanks to the Boy Scouts of America Susquehanna Council. “We’ll have food for purchase from our Local Boy Scout group, which is working to raise funds to go to the Bahamas in 2025 to live on a sailboat for a week and snorkel Coral reefs,” Bardo shared.

The Fall Craft Extravaganza will also feature a basket raffle and a 50/50 drawing, further benefiting Haven Place residents and staff.

Don’t miss this opportunity to browse through a wide variety of vendors, support local artisans, and contribute to a wonderful cause on September 14!
