Obituary – Gerard Paul Kibler

Gerard Paul Kibler, 82, of Lock Haven passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Born January 7, 1942 in Chest Springs, he was a son of the late Ray and Marie (Lynch) Kibler.

Jerry was a 1960 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School.

He proudly served in the United States Army, both in active duty in Vietnam and in the Reserves, retiring after 28 years of service.

On June 4, 1966, he married his love, the former Sandra Babineau, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Jerry was employed by the United States Postal Service for nearly 40 years.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Parish.

Jerry was a social member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Castanea Fire Hall, Sons of Italy and VFW.

In the ‘70’s, he was instrumental in starting a gun safety class, which continued for many years, at the YMCA.

In addition to his wife, Sandra Kibler, he is survived by his children, Kelley (David) Noecker and Keith (Marjori) Kibler; sisters, Elaine Fuller and Bonnie Dieffenbacher; grandchildren: Seth Noecker, Brandon Kibler and Rachel Kibler; step-grandchildren, Jeremy and Bradley (Ahnika) Noecker; and step-great grandchildren, Paityn and Chase.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Michael, Timothy and Karen Kibler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven with Rev. Father Joseph Orr and his brother-in-law, Deacon Richard DesJardins officiating.  Interment with Military Rites with follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM at Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with a Prayer Vigil beginning at 7:30PM.

Memorial contributions in Jerry’s name may be made to either Clinton County Veterans Administration or Holy Spirit Parish through the funeral home.
