By Autumn Gavlock
RENOVO -This week, local kiddos engaged in STEM excitement as Summer Park Programs hosted their annual STEM Week. Children from North Bend Farm Life 4-H and Cloverbuds took part in an engaging series of activities across North Bend Park, 16th Street Park, and South Renovo Park.

Under the guidance of 4-H leader Midge Kramer, participants explored the fascinating world of rockets through a hands-on project titled “Marshmallow and Rockets.” The day began with a brief educational session on rocket science, including an overview of rocket components and their functions.

Following the lesson, kids got creative, building their own rockets using marshmallows and other materials. They then applied their newfound knowledge in a collaborative exercise using pool noodles to design and launch their customized rockets.

This special event offered a perfect blend of learning and fun, leaving Renovo youth with a deeper appreciation for science.
