Road Resurfacing on Laurel Avenue Begins in East Renovo

Charles Construction Company started the much-anticipated road resurfacing project on Laurel Avenue in East Renovo on Monday, July 29. This project marks the beginning of a significant improvement, stretching from just after Schuylkill Avenue to Memorial Park, and running parallel to the East Renovo baseball fields.

The process includes the complete removal of the old asphalt, repairing the sub-base with new material, and repaving the roadway. Residents should expect some delays within the active work zones as the milling and paving operations take place. The work crew will direct traffic, allowing vehicles to pass when it is safe.

To minimize inconvenience, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes such as Ponda, Delaware, or Schuylkill avenues. However, for those who need to access Laurel Avenue, minor delays may occur as crews work to create a wide spot for vehicles to pass.
