Clinton 8-10’s Edge Montoursville 11-10 to Advance to District 12 Championship

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT- The Clinton 8-9-10 year olds advanced to the District 12 Championship game on Wednesday night after defeating Montoursville 11-10 in a close game on Monday night.

Clinton scored 4 runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings and added 3 more runs in the 4th for the win.

Leading hitters for Clinton were Madison Edwards, who went 3-3 with a double; Blake Houser, who went 2-3 and scored 3 runs; Josey McCann, who hit a double; and Audrina Tarantella and Skye Welshans, who both had singles.

Edwards also handled the pitching duties for Clinton, striking out 14 batters while allowing 2 hits. She walked 14 batters and had 2 hit-by-pitches.

With the loss, Montoursville will face South Williamsport on Tuesday evening with the winner advancing to play Clinton on Wednesday evening at the Lycoming College softball field at 5:45 pm.
