– Saturday, July 6: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

– Sunday, July 7: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

The “Spirit of Freedom” C-54 is a historic aircraft that is dedicated to honoring its significant role in the Berlin Airlift. This aircraft, a Douglas C-54 Skymaster, was part of the fleet that delivered essential food and supplies to West Berlin during the Soviet blockade from 1948 to 1949. The exhibit highlights the C-54’s contributions to maintaining the freedom and survival of the city’s residents, showcasing its storied past through a variety of historical displays and memorabilia.

The Piper Aviation Museum invites the community to take a tour and learn about the aircraft’s operational history, the logistics of the airlift, and the crew members who bravely ensured the successful delivery of supplies under challenging conditions.
