Forty and Eight Voiture 903 Clinton County Hosts Annual Flag Disposal Ceremony

The Forty and Eight Voiture 903 Clinton County held its annual Flag Disposal Ceremony with the  assistance of the Beech Creek-Blanchard Boy Scout Troop 54 and Local 903 Cabane on June12, 2024 at  the club grounds. Master of Ceremony, Bernie Zbicki, opened the program with a prayer led by Nelson  Haight, Aumonier. Richard Workman led a salute to the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.  Guest speaker, Todd Warner, Director/Veterans Service Officer for Clinton County, spoke about the meaning of the colors, red, white, and blue, found in the bag. Tim Rickert, Chef de Gard presented the unserviceable flags for disposal to Richard Workman, Garde de la Port, which was then given a final  inspection. The Jersey Shore Honor Guard played Taps and fired a 21 Gun salute. Special guest, Jennifer Hagman, Central PA Region Veterans Service Specialist for Pennsylvania Department of Military and  Veterans Affairs, was in attendance. Closing prayer was led by Nelson Haight, Aumonier. A special  thank you to the Citizens Hose Fire Company and crew who attended for fire control. Refreshments  were served after the program. A big thank you from the Forty and Eight and to all that attended to  make this a special event.
