Veterans Park renewal project well underway
LOCK HAVEN – More than a year ago, a project was started along Water Street to renovate and rehabilitate Veterans Park across from the Clinton County Courthouse.
This morning, on the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion of Normandy, the first load of decorative stone was delivered.
“So the build begins,” concept designer Steve Getz posted on social media Thursday morning. “Not sure it was planned for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, but fitting and proper in my eyes.”
Though the completion of the park will take some time, the renewal project is more than well underway to visually show the public and visitors alike what the finished project will look like.
The formal unveiling of the park plans were made in late August 2021 following the Hometown Heroes celebration at the nearby Corman Amphitheater.
