Friese, Winchester named to Mid Penn Conference All-stars

MUNCY- On Sunday the Mid Penn Conference baseball coaches met up in Muncy and selected their 2024 Mid Penn Conference All-Stars.
Clinton County was represented with Bucktail’s Keller Friese being selected to the first team and Sugar Valley’s Lance Winchester earning second team honors.
Friese, a first team outfielder batted an incredible and league best .655, hit a pair of home runs, batted in 26 runs and his 1.127 slugging percentage led all of Pennsylvania in 1A. As a Freshman, Friese led the Bucks in every offensive category.
Millville’s Nathan Benedict and Sullivan County’s Tucker Blasi joined Friese as first team outfielders.
Winchester, the Phoenix senior was the most productive player in each and every game for Sugar Valley. Winchester hit .500 on the season with a home run.He also led the Phoenix with 19 runs batted in. Winchester earned second team infielder honors for his work at first base.
Muncy’s Noah Confer was named to the first team at first base.
Montgomery’s Briar Persing was named league MVP, while Montgomery’s Tim Persing was voted coach of the year.
Montgomery led the league with 10 selections following their conference championship run this season.
