Central Mountain Tennis Dominates Home Court with Consecutive Wins
MILL HALL – Central Mountain High School’s tennis team showcased their strength on their home turf with two commanding victories in back-to-back matches. The home team delivered an impressive 4-1, 4-1 win over Selinsgrove Area.
In the first of the two matches, which was a continuation of a rain-delayed encounter with Selinsgrove, Central Mountain wasted no time. Leading the charge in the singles category, David Lindsay set the tone with a flawless performance, claiming victory with a double 6-0 scoreline. Asher Talbot followed suit with a commanding win of 6-0, 6-3, further solidifying Central Mountain’s lead. Joey McCluskey faced some initial resistance but ultimately came out on top with a score of 6-4, 6-0.
In doubles, Tim Brinker and Joe Caimi clinched a hard-fought victory in a thrilling three-set match, closing it out with a decisive 10-8 win in the tiebreaker.
Undeterred by the earlier victory, Central Mountain returned to the courts for their second match of the day, this time against. In singles, David Lindsay continued his dominant streak, securing another double bagel victory with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 scoreline. Asher Talbot followed with a commanding 6-3, 6-0 win. Joey McCluskey faced a tougher challenge but showed resilience and determination, ultimately emerging victorious with a hard-fought three-set win.

Despite a setback in the second doubles match, where Ben Brinker and Brayden Spedding faced a tough opponent, Central Mountain’s overall performance once again demonstrated their dominance on the court.
