Central Mountain Baseball Crushes Milton 9-0: Wildcats Extend Winning Streak

MILTON-Central Mountain Baseball journeyed to Milton on Monday, where the Wildcats fiercely battled their opponents, ultimately claiming a commanding 9-0 victory.

The Wildcats wasted no time asserting their dominance, securing two singles in the top of the first inning and swiftly adding another run in the third thanks to a walk by Gardy Fravel. Momentum continued in the fifth inning with another run, followed by a strong rally in the sixth, netting three runs, and two more in the seventh. In total, the Wildcats racked up eight hits throughout the game, resulting in nine impressive runs.

Leading the charge for the Wildcats was Connor Foltz, who delivered two hits and drove in two runs. Watt Probst and Blake Walker had doubles, contributing to the Wildcats’ offensive display. Additional hits came from Gardy Fravel, Kevin Grenninger, Elek Fravel, Nate Wian, and Bryce Brungard.

On the pitching front, Austin Frank proved formidable, securing the win for the Wildcats after pitching four innings, allowing only one hit while striking out five and issuing two walks. Blake Walker provided solid relief, pitching three innings, yielding just one hit, and striking out two while walking one.

The Milton Black Panthers, in contrast, struggled to find their footing, managing only two hits throughout the game courtesy of Peyton Rearick and Luke Goodwin. Goodwin, who took the loss for the Panthers, faced a formidable Wildcats lineup and grappled with pitching consistency. Milton’s pitching staff struggled, issuing a total of 14 walks while striking out nine.

With this resounding victory, the Wildcats advance to an impressive 9-1 record for the season and now set their sights on hosting Selinsgrove on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Milton finds themselves at 3-8 for the season, looking to regroup and bounce back from this defeat.
