BENTON-Bucktail Bucks Baseball team journeyed to face off against the Benton Tigers on Monday. Benton seized the momentum early with a dominant first inning, notching 9 runs, leaving the Bucks struggling to respond, ultimately succumbing to a 12-1 defeat.
Despite their efforts to rally, the Bucks managed only 2 hits and a lone run. Keller Freise delivered a crucial triple, while Brett Mason contributed with a single and showcased his speed with two stolen bases for the Bucks.
On the mound, the Bucks rotated their pitching duties among Tyler Hillyer, Ethan Kalafut, Xander Shearer, and Austin Mosher. Collectively, they issued 5 walks, recorded 5 strikeouts, and were hampered by 6 errors, resulting in 12 runs conceded on just six hits.
