No. 16 Lacrosse cracks USA Magazine Top-20, receiving votes in IWLCA National Poll
LOCK HAVEN– After starting the season 10-1 and jumping into first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division, the Lock Haven lacrosse team has cracked the USA Lacrosse Magazine’s top-20 rankings at No. 16 in the country, the organization announced on Monday (April 8).
The Haven also sits just outside the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) DII top-25 poll, after receiving votes this week.
Lock Haven secured its first 10-win season since 2018 with a pair of impressive victories last week over No. 23 Seton Hill and IUP. The Bald Eagles netted the game-winning goal with nine seconds remaining in regulation against nationally-ranked Seton Hill on Wednesday, before upending IUP in dominant fashion on Saturday.
The pair of victories also extended Lock Haven’s win streak to three games and the Bald Eagles moved to 4-1 at home this season. It also secured Lock Haven’s first 10-win season since 2018.
The Bald Eagles are off to a blazing start in conference play and currently sit atop the standings at 5-1 in the Western Division. To view the full standings, click here.
As a team, the Bald Eagles rank third in the entire PSAC in goals (152), while sophomore Gabby Gunnip is currently third in individual goals with 39. Emma Williams (21) and Abby Katrinak rank sixth (21) and seventh in assists, respectively.
On defense, Mackenna Brown is currently sixth in the PSAC in cause turnovers (21), while goalkeeper Dana Mirigliano is third in saves (94).

The Bald Eagles have the midweek off, before hosting Mercyhurst University on Saturday (April 13) at noon at Charlotte E. Smith Field in a PSAC West battle.
