Four Lock Haven men’s wrestlers named NWCA/NCAA DI Scholar All-Americans

LOCK HAVEN – Four members of the Lock Haven men’s wrestling team have been named 2023-24 NCAA Division I Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), as each of the four excelled on the mats, and in the classroom for the Bald Eagles.

The Bald Eagles’ scholar All-Americans included Avery Bassett (Middleburg, Pa./Midd-West), Cael Black (Warren, Pa./Eisenhower)), Colin Fegley (Mahanoy, Pa./Mahanoy) and Anthony Noto (Lima, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima).

Most recently, Noto soared to All-American status for the second straight season as he placed third at the 2024 NCAA DI Men’s Wrestling Championship in Kansas City.

As a team, Lock Haven turned in another impressive performance at the 2023-24 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship in early March. The Bald Eagles finished a notable fourth in the 13-team field.
