LHU’s Bellomo tabbed PSAC Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
LOCK HAVEN – Freshman Peter Bellomo (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) of the Lock Haven men’s track & field team was tabbed Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday, March 19.
The rookie brings home the first PSAC Athlete of the Week awarded during the 2024 outdoor season.
Rookie Peter Bellomo (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) made his long-awaited javelin debut Friday at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, and he didn’t disappoint. He took first with a PSAC and NCAA qualifying mark of 208-00, the fifth-best mark all-time in Lock Haven history. It ranks first in the PSAC by 15 feet, and it is currently No. 4, to date this season, in Division II.
As a team, the Bald Eagles kicked off the 2024 outdoor track & field season in style, securing several PSAC qualifying marks, personal bests and more at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in South Carolina, Myrtle Beach.

The Bald Eagles have the week off and will return to the track on Wednesday (March 27) to kick off the two-day Midweek Tri-Meet vs. Mansfield and Bloomsburg.
