Obituary – John D. “Jack” Kuntz

John D. “Jack” Kuntz, 85, of Lock Haven, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Lock Haven Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 1, 1938 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Raymond E. And Marian I. Shaffer Kuntz.

Jack was graduate of Lock Haven High School.

He was a retired Veteran of the United States Army Reserves.

On November 12, 1966 in Lock Haven, he married the love of his life, the former Helen M. Quiggle, who survives.

Jack owned and operated John D. Kuntz Floor Covering until his retirement.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and attended St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven.

Jack enjoyed puttering around in his garage and tending to his garden. Most of all, he adored the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. According to his grandkids, he had a true passion for watching Walker Texas Ranger.

In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by three children, Ann M. (Randy) Brickley, Gayle L. (Steve) Hummel and John M. Kuntz, all of Lock Haven; two sisters, Rita (Richard) Clark and Mary Pat Zimmerman, both of Lock Haven; and his five grandchildren: Joshua, Alyssa, Justin, Avery and Jamie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings: Charles, Edward, Richard, Paul, Bill and Raymond Kuntz, Barbara Barzona, Beryl Ingui, Josephine Dozier and Vivian Kuntz.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 12 P.M. at Haven Rehabilitation Center, 22 Cree Drive, Lock Haven, PA 17745.

Friends and family will be received from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
