North Bend Farm Life 4H and Cloverbuds Give Amazing Reports

NORTH BEND – On Monday, February 19, it was Oral Report night for both 4-H and Cloverbuds. Simply put, it was impressive with all the kids giving amazing reports. They have grown in so many ways, and this night was a huge step for all of them. With the help of volunteers and parents each child gave an oral report on either their adopted farm animal for the past two weeks or what 4-H has meant to them the past few months.

Willow Kitchen, President of the 4H Farm life says, “The question presented to me was how has 4h been for me so far. It has been a great learning experience. I have met an amazing group of people. My volunteers have taught me amazing things about gardening to animals. We have made food, and learned about what food comes from animals.”

The future appears to be exciting for the North Bend Farm Life 4-H as they are going to be learning many new things; From different plant types, to crocheting. Club Leader Midge Kramer says, ”I’ve learned how to be a leader and how to always be patient and caring, Oh, and how to speak louder. When I come into this building with these amazing people, I am constantly happy and excited about what we are doing next. There is never a dull moment. I am always smiling and happy and having fun. Whether it be sitting and talking, cooking, coloring, or on a field trip. 4-H for me has been one of the greatest adventures I have endured, and I am excited for where the future takes this club!”

Audrey Dorey, club Vice President gave her report on how we can better our group, followed up by some of the 4-H Cloverbuds giving oral reports on their adopted Farm animals.
The night ended with learning what kind of food we feed our farm animals. Barley, Corn, and Milo were on the list.

North Bend Farm Life 4-H meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month at the Grace Baptist Church in North Bend. The leader is Midge Kramer.
