LHU’s Gwen Lloyd medals; Women’s Track & Field concludes 2023-24 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships
BETHLEHAM– Gwen Lloyd (Red Lion, Pa./Red) earned a medal to highlight the Lock Haven women’s track and field team on the final day of the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Monday afternoon (Feb. 19).
Lloyd brought home a bronze medal in the 3000-meter run with a breakthrough race of 10:17.06, placing third. Lloyd topped her personal best by over five seconds.
Aubrey Sechrist (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) reached the podium in the 800-meter run by placing fourth with a time of 2:22.36.
Reagan Irons (Tyrone, Pa./Tyrone) reached the podium for the first time in her young career with a finals mark of 5-1.5 in the high jump to place sixth.
The Bald Eagles capped off the meet with the 4×400-meter relay with the team of Hunter Barger (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain), Natalie Gentzel (Yaphank, N.Y./Bellport), Alexanne Fite (Shermansdale, Pa./West Perry) and Liberty Gearinger (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia). The team finished tenth with a race of 4:06.63.
The Bald Eagles finished 11th as a team out of 15 schools and finished with 19.5 team points.
