LHU Women’s Track & Field opens PSAC Championships; DMR places third
BETHLEHEM– The Lock Haven women’s indoor track and field team opened the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships today (Sunday, Feb. 18) at Lehigh University’s Rauch Fieldhouse in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
For the Bald Eagles, a day-one highlight was the effort of the distance medley relay as Megan Lysek-Hagy (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge), Liberty Gearinger (Berwick, Pa./Central Columbia), Aubrey Sechrist (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) and Gwen Lloyd (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) teamed up to take third in the event.
They ran 12:27.39 and finished third of 12 teams. In the event’s opening leg, Lysek-Hagy ran 3:54.46 in the 1,200-meter leg and Gearinger ran 1:00.99 in the 400-meter leg, before Sechrist ran the 800-meter leg in 2:22.19. Llyod ran 5:09.76 on the anchor 1,600-meter leg.
