LHU Women’s Track & Field competes at Penn State Tune-Up

UNIVERSITY PARK– The Lock Haven women’s indoor track and field team competed in the Penn State Tune-Up at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace/Ashenfelter II Indoor Track on Friday afternoon (Feb. 16).

Friday’s meet is the final competition for the program leading up to the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Megan Mengal (Reading, Pa./Wyomissing) and Alexanne Fite (Shermansdale, Pa./West Perry) ran an excellent 400-meter race, earning top-10 marks with a fourth and sixth-place finish in the final. Mengal crossed in 1:02.88 and Fite finished in 1:03.51.

Sydney Stahl (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks) added another sixth-place finish in the 60-meter dash, crossing in 8.65 in the finals. Stahl also added a 12th-place finish in the 200-meter dash (29.09).

Megan Rosahac (Jim Thorpe, Pa./Jim Thorpe) and Paige Daugherty (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) competed in the mile, finishing 17th and 19th, respectively. Rosahac finished in 5:51.54 and Daugherty checked in at 6:01.47.

Megan Mudger (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) finished 11th in the 3000-meter run with a finish of 11:23.57.

In the field, Clarissa Davis (York, Pa./Central York) picked up a fifth-place finish with a mark of 36-9 in the shot put.

Mallory Eck (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) finished ninth in the weight throw with a mark of 41-2.5.

NEXT UP:

The Bald Eagles are set to compete in the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships, which are scheduled for Sunday and Money, Feb. 18-19 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
