LHU Men’s Indoor Track & Field competes at Penn State Tune-Up
UNIVERSITY PARK – The Lock Haven men’s indoor track and field team competed in the Penn State Tune-Up at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace/Ashenfelter II Indoor Track on Friday afternoon (Feb. 16).
Friday’s meet is the final competition for the program leading up to the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Jarrett Lee (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove) and Eric Dixon (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) excelled in the 600-meter run, placing third and fourth in the finals. Lee ran a 1:25.94 and Dixon crossed in 1:29.66.
Lucca Capparelli (State College, Pa./State College) earned fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.94. Gage Chipeleski (Sugarloaf, Pa./Central Columbia) also competed in the race, placing 12th (23.92).
Richard Rouse (York, Pa./York Tech) placed fourth with a time of 9.27 in the 60-meter hurdles. Rouse also finished fifth in the long jump with a mark of 20-6.5.
Chase Young (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) also competed in the long jump where he finished ninth with a mark of 19-9.5. Young followed by placing fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 42-8.
Ben Streator (Mill Hall, Pa./Central Mountain) also competed in the triple jump, finishing right behind Young with a leap of 40-2.5.
Jaden Wright (Ulster, Pa./Athens) and Dylan Cassetori (Plains, Pa./Holy Redeemer) secured top-10 finishes in the 60-meter dash, finishing fifth and seventh, respectively. Wright ran a 7.25 in the finals and Cassetori crossed in 7.35 in the finals.
Lorenzo Thompson (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) (52.52, seventh) and Lukas Epitropakis (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) (53.60) added top-10 finishes in the 400-meter dash.
Kohen Stover (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) and Harrison Robitzer (Exeter, Pa./Berks Catholic) finished 11th and 12th in the 3000-meter run, with times of 9:35.93 and 9:46.12, respectively.

The Bald Eagles are set to compete in the 2023-24 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships, which are scheduled for Sunday and Money, Feb. 18-19 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
